Lamar Companies LLC is Hiring a Director of Asset Management Near Paris, TX

Summary/Objective:
In charge of management of the company’s equipment and maintenance operations. Schedules and prioritizes equipment repairs and maintenance as well as assigning equipment to crews and projects. Oversees maintenance process including mechanics and technicians, establishes productivity goals, and tracks progress of work. Has oversight and responsibility of asset utilization.

Essential Functions:

  • Safety
  • Chair of Asset Committee
  • Asset utilization
  • Supervises maintenance functions.
  • Utilizes and maintains all equipment related software.
  • Oversees maintenance and repair of equipment, both at the yard and at the project sites.
  • Ensure that all equipment is completely inspected at least once a year and is calibrated based on the manufacturer’s recommendations or government standard.
  • Establishes and monitors preventative maintenance schedules on equipment.
  • Establishes service schedules on equipment for warranty compliance.
  • Manages warranty reimbursements.
  • Supports projects including identifying all sources of equipment maintenance, fueling, repair and spare parts.
  • Establishes productivity expectations and tracks the production and activity of the mechanic.
  • Ensures the ready status of idle equipment.
  • Participates in the equipment evaluation process to determine buy/sell needs.
  • Purchases and sells new and used equipment as directed by Executive Management.
  • Develops and maintains files on all equipment for DOT, regulatory requirements, and historical data.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with personnel from all companies and divisions.
  • Interfaces with accounting for invoice approval and adherence to accounting processes.
  • Issuance of asset numbers and maintenance of master company equipment list

Additional Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Models and reinforce safety as a top priority of the organization.
  • Meets schedules and deadlines, adheres to policies and procedures.
  • Exercise good interpersonal skills by readily assisting others to accomplish work of the organization, even if it is outside the scope of regular duties.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting to be presented to Executive Management on a regular basis.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Executive Management.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages all personnel assigned to the asset team and is responsible for managing and improving the performance of the asset team. Has direct input and will oversee hiring of mechanics, technicians, and clerks. Has direct interface with risk management regarding DOT, OSHA, MSHA, and other regulated activities.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, and data catalog.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are mirrored to fit all companies and divisions. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

Travel:
Requires out-of-the-area and overnight to mirror footprint of all operations.
